Acupuncture has been increasingly utilized as a complementary therapy to support and improve fertility. Several research findings suggest it may work in the following ways:

Hormone regulation. Studies suggest that it can influence the hor-monal regulation centres in the brain, such as the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis and potentially improve the success rates of IVF treatments.

Acupuncture can enhance blood flow to the uterus and ovaries. Im-proved blood flow could lead to a healthier uterine lining, better egg nourishment, and increased chances of embryo implantation and survival.

Also, it’s known for calming effect and can reduce stress hormones, creating a more conducive physiological environment for concep-tion.

Some evidence suggests that acupuncture may reduce the risk of miscarriage and ectopic pregnancies.
